What Is Life? Watch the Trailer for Martin Scorsese's George Harrison Documentary Living in the Material World
If you’re a Martin Scorsese fanboy or girl troubled by the fact that the great director is releasing Hugo — a 3-D kids movie that looks like something Shawn Levy could have directed — this year, some hope: the first trailer for Scorsese’s long-in-the-making HBO documentary George Harrison: Living in the Material World has arrived online, and it’s as epic as the film’s near four-hour running time. Showtime Picks Up Pilots From Andrew Gurland, Michelle Ashford & Ann Biderman
Showtime has greenlighted 3 pilots: Andrew Garland's docu comedy Gurland On Gurland, Michelle Ashford's drama Masters Of Sex and Ann Biderman's dramedy Ray Donovan. This marks the second round of pilot orders for Showtime's new entertainment president David Nevins. The first one included drama Homeland and comedy House of Lies, both of which went to series. Gurland On Gurland is a first-person documentary comedywritten, directed and starringfilmmaker Andrew Gurland (The Last Exorcism, The Virginity Hit), which reflects his real family life and the challenges he faces pursuing the next phase of his career. The pilot hails from CBS TV Studios, with Gurland and studio-based Glenn Gordon Caron executive producing. This marks the first Showtime pilot from the cable division of sibling studio CBS TV Studios. It was developed by the division's former head Bela Bajaria who recently departed to run Universal Media Studios. On the broadcast side, Medium creator Caron just sold a drama project to CBS executive produced by James Mangold and Cathy Konrad. Masters of Sex, from Sony Pictures TV, is an adaptation of Thomas Maier's book Masters of Sex: The Life and Times of William Masters and Virginia Johnson, the Couple Who Taught America How to Love and chronicles the lives and the intriguing, unusual relationship between Masters and Johnson, the pioneers into the science of human sexuality whose research touched off the sexual revolution. Michelle Ashford wrote the script and is executive producing with Timberman/Beverly Prods.' Sarah Timberman and Carl Beverly who set up the project while at Sony TV. (The company, which has 3 series on the air, FX's Justified and CBS' upcoming Unforgettable and A Gifted Man, moved to CBS Studios last summer.) Ray Donovan, which will be produced by Showtime, was created by Southland creator Ann Biderman. It is a dark family drama with comedic undertonesabout a Ray who functions as a fixer for the rich and famous in Los Angeles but himself is broken, with a troubled Irish family he can't quite escape. Biderman is executive producing with Mark Gordon. Biderman, originally an executive producer on Southland, recently scaled back her responsibilities on the TNT series to a consultant tole. John Wells and Chris Chulack are running it. ABC Studios, where Gordon is under an overall deal, accommodate him for Ray Donovan and is expected to take passive interest in the project.

Disney Relationship Mark Romanek To Direct Re-Imagined 'Cinderella'
EXCLUSIVE: Disney is attempting to suit the glass slipper on Mark Romanek. The studio is circling Romanek, the accomplished video director and helmer from the features Never Allow Me To Go and something Hour Photo, to influence a brand new version of Cinderella, in line with the pitch the Demon Wears Prada scribe Aline Brosh McKenna offered to Disney this past year inside a seven-figure deal. The studio bought that project after its billion-dollar grossing three dimensional Alice's adventures in wonderland opened up the floodgates on movies depending on public domain favorite anecdotes. 90210 Elects Brandy For Recurring Role
Brandy Norwood Brandy is headed to 90210 for a major recurring role in Season 4, TVLine.com. reports. The 32-year-old Grammy winner has signed on to play a charismatic young politician running for Congress against the conservative uncle of Teddy (Trevor Donovan). Her character, Marissa Jackson-Lewis, is described as a cross between Hillary Clinton and President Barack Obama, according to TVLine. Marissa hires Silver (Jessica Stroup) to make a campaign video to boost the youth vote. 90210 Season 4 spoilers! Is Teddy gone? Can Adrianna be redeemed? Will Naomi have a baby? The singer-actress is best known to TV fans as Moesha from the long-running UPN sitcom of the same name. She also guest-starred in four episodes of Drop Dead Diva earlier this year and competed on the 11th season of ABC's Dancing with the Stars. Season 4 of 90210 premieres on Tuesday, Sept. 13 at 9/8c.

Russell Brand Could Join Lamb Of God
