New Zemeckis shingle builds 'Fort'

Universal Pictures has set up the supernatural pic "Charles Fort" with Evan Spiliotopulos penning the script and Robert Zemeckis producing.Film would be the first set up under the first-look deal that Zemeckis and his shingle Imagemovers made with the studio in August.Pic is based on the Dark Horse comic and centers on the title character -- an early 20th century researcher-writer who explored supernatural events like teleportation and alien abduction.Spiliotopulos most recently did a polish on the U pic "Snow White and the Huntsman" and Zemeckis is currently filming the Paramount pic "Flight."Spiliotopulos is repped by UTA and Zemeckis is repped by CAA.
